ROCHESTER - Even though the motto here is "Any time is taco time" and the name My Cielo Taqueria translate to "My Heavenly Taco place," there's a lot more here to see and eat than just tacos.
There's chimichangas, a deep-fried burrito that owner Luis Garcia says is proving very popular in the city, along with other Mexican street food staples like tacos, tamales, tortas (Mexican sandwiches), quesadillas and burritos.
There's also a few you might not have come across like flautas, a rolled up taco with meat or filling inside; taquitos, which is a rolled up tortilla; and carnitas, or little meats, usually pulled pork, chicken or beef dishes.
All the plates come with rice and beans.
Garcia said another favorite is their grilled street corn, which come with chipotle mayo, cotija cheese and chile lime.
My Cielo Taqueria opened last Wednesday at 667 Columbus Ave., the home of the former Burrito Banditos.
