VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Anita May (Bernier) Caron, 93, died on May 30, 2024, with family by her side.
Born on March 22, 1931, in Dover, N.H., she was the daughter of Joseph and Vezinalda (Brochu) Bernier. Anita was a lifelong resident of Dover and graduated from Dover High School in 1949. She was a devoted member of the Parish of the Assumption.
On October 9, 1954, Anita married her loving husband Rudolph "Chick" Caron. Together they shared a strong and caring marriage of over 60 years.
She was a member of the Women's Emblem Club, a Campfire Girls Leader, Hospital Auxiliary Board member, she was a volunteer at the South Berwick Senior Center, and additionally volunteered for the St. Charles Bereavement Luncheons, helping families through their grief.
Anita had many interests. Some of those include traveling, dancing, sewing, cooking, playing cards and gardening. Anita was also very fond of bluebirds and enjoyed watching them.
She is predeceased by her husband, Rudolph Caron, her parents, Joseph and Vezinalda Bernier, her son, Richard Norman Caron, and her daughter Diane May Kirk. Anita is survived by her grandson Marc Kirk and his wife Mandie, a great-granddaughter Jolene Kirk, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
