DENMARK, Maine -- A Denmark woman is accused of killing her wheelchair-bound partner and her own grandmother.
Oxford County Sheriff's deputies got involved when they were asked to do a welfare check at a Fuller Lane home around 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Upon arrival they found Tzara Jones' grandmother, Aremean Mayo, 93, and Tzara Jones' significant other, Michael Willett, 69, both stabbed to death.
Police say both victims were stabbed in the chest multiple times.
WMTW reported on Monday that according to court documents, a family member of Jones told police that Jones and Willett had been living together for years and that Mayo moved in with them in July 2023. That family member told police that Jones told her she was tired of taking care of both Willett and Mayo, but refused to let the family member take care of Mayo.
Court officials said Jones, 53, was due in court via Zoom later today.
