Academy Street raid could land Rochester pair in prison up to seven years

DOVER, N.H. - A Rochester mother and her son face up to seven years in state prison after their indictment on marijuana trafficking charges last week.

Stacie Parsons, 38, and her son, River, 18, both of 14B Academy St., are charged with felony possession of a controlled drug with intent to sell or distribute, which can also draw a $100,000 fine in convicted

Rochester Police raided the apartment on Nov. 25 after securing a search warrant.

Inside police found contraband associated with the crime of possession of controlled/narcotic drug with intent to distribute.

Stacie Parsons was also charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by a year in county jail as two children also live in the apartment. The disposition of those charges was not immediately available.

The raid was the result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the area.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down May 19 and released on Friday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been presented to a grand jury to warrant a trial.
