BERWICK, Maine - It is with a heavy heart that I share with you, our daughter Abigail "Abi" Kathryne Lizotte, born August 15, 1992, is no longer carrying the pain of the disease of addiction, but we are. I wish that I could say that recovery won and that's why she is no longer in pain. On Friday, December 1, 2017, Abi was taken from us by this insidious, cunning disease, like so many before her, and unfortunately, so many more to follow.
Abi was a light of hope to others, and every time you were around her you felt this overwhelming sense of love and inspiration. Deeply intense in a beautiful way, Abi was a writer, an athlete, and an amazing, loving mother to her perfect little human, her baby boy Parker. She loved music. It was a huge part of her life that helped her find her words and express her feelings.
Abi was currently attending SMCC in Portland pursuing a Bachelors degree in Behavioral Science, so she could continue to help more people. She was working at Unified Parking Partner in Portland, where they were promoting her to a management position.
My husband John and I (Tammy), along with her sister Elizabeth Lizotte, and brother Clay Hobbs, will always carry her in our hearts. Abi was predeceased by her sister Whitney Jeanne Lizotte.
Abi was a vibrant, loving, shining beacon of hope to so many. It's now our responsibility to shine for her.
"God, please have your love work through me, into the lives of others" -Abi.
