In response to the public notice sent by the other Selectmen. First, I have no way of obtaining emails off of the town website. I wanted to clarify that.

Out of thousands of emails sent, I have received 3 emails from people asking to be removed, one that has moved, one that it’s a work email and one asking to be removed because they didn’t want to receive any emails.

On the contrary, I have received dozens of emails and phone calls from residents thanking me for getting the information out. I have also received concerns from residents that Elected Officials have allegedly created false Facebook accounts and emails to send out information about me.

Thankfully the “many complaints to the selectmen” are public information so that I can see who complained and will remove their names, because surprisingly “many residents” have not asked to be removed from the mass emails, only 2 residents have.

As the email stated, the email was solely from myself and I am thankful to the dozens of residents who have called or messaged me that they appreciate the concerns brought forward.

The Lebanon Community News on Facebook, www.facebook.com/lebanonmaine is followed by nearly 1,300 friends and the Rescue Corporation Site by nearly 3,200 people (4,500 friends combined). We appreciate all the feedback obtained on those sites about this letter from me, Selectman Cole.

Its strange how “multiple people complained” but this is the first I heard of it.

From not following the way we have filled openings on town boards by appointing close friends instead of the next person who got the most votes to other questionable things, I will always do my best to make sure the public is informed. There are serious violations that I personally feel are being overlooked as a member of the Selectmen have an immediate family member on that department.
