LEBANON, Maine - A trio of would-be shed thieves were apparently caught in the act on the Heath Road Sunday afternoon.
According to sources who did not give authorization to use their names, three men drilled holes in a shed that was on the property of an unoccupied residence on the Heath Road and tried to drag it down the road by chaining it to a white Dodge pickup.
State Police caught up with them about a mile from the house as they headed toward Center Road.
Another witness said the men were apparently dragging the shed on bare pavement.

It is not clear where the three men were headed.
They were reportedly arrested, however no names have been released as of this posting.
One person familiar with the incident told The Rochester Voice, "Some guys in a white Dodge Ram pickup apparently tried to hook up to and steal a storage shed from someone's yard."
The Rochester Voice learned this morning that at least one of the men, reportedly of Milton, N.H., is being held at York County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.
Eddie B Towing & Recovery, who was summoned by State Police to tow the shed back to its proper residence, had some fun on their Facebook Page, saying, "I have had some strange police calls in the past but this one my top five strange ones. Received a call saying a pickup truck with the shed .. didn't realize the pickup truck ... we'll say they were borrowing the shed and dragging down the road about a mile from a abandoned house. LOL."
